Karl Arne Willmyr (born May 9, 1917, in Färgaryd Parish, Jönköping County, Sweden; died October 1, 1997, in Svenljunga, Sweden) was a Swedish painter. He was the son of builder Karl Alfred Carlsson and Anna Kristina Andersson. An autodidact, Willmyr pursued self-directed studies during travels to Paris, Germany, Italy, and Yugoslavia. Throughout his life, he resided periodically in Västergötland, Halland, and western Småland, regions that inspired many of his landscape depictions. His artistic repertoire also included abstract compositions and figure paintings.
