Helge Strand studied at the Fine Arts in Gothenburg, and undertook field trips to Copenhagen, Oslo and Paris. He was honourable and teacher at TBV, ABF and NBV's study organizations in Sweden. He started a painting school in Gothenburg together with the artist Y. Andersson. He has worked on several stage sets in Gothenburg and Fresco-paintings in Gothenburg, Trollhättan and Uddevalla.
